The Trempealeau is the first signature paddle released by Sigurd Canoe Company. It is named after the Trempeleau River- the place of the maiden voyage. It has always had a soft spot in my heart. So it was just a fitting name.
The Trempealeau is crafted entirely by hand and is made out of Black Walnut, Cherry and Basswood. The blade is re-enforced with fiberglass and an epoxy tip. The blade and shaft are epoxied and varnished and the grips are finished with linseed oil.
